Here’s a versatile side table with some fun joinery challenges. Arched rails and a floating top give this petite table a little lift. In this 5-day class, we’ll try our hand at bridle joints, through-mortise-and tenons and sliding dovetails. Then we’ll hold everything together with drawer-bore pins and top it all off by wrapping the side rails with hemp cord.
Key Learning Points:
There’s a lot going on in a small package, and you’ll walk away with not just a nice table but a whole tool kit of design details that you can use on other projects as well.
This would be an excellent class to take after Beginning Woodwork, Handtool & Joinery. It’s a good step up in scale and complexity and very achievable for woodworkers with solid basic powertool and handtool skills.
