Learn to Use Woodworking Power Tools

Power tools like the tablesaw and jointer are key parts of most woodworking projects.  If you have these tools but don’t know quite how to use or have some bad habits this would be a good class to attended.   Likewise, if you are considering the purchase of a new power tool and you are not sure of what machine capacity you’ll need or what sort of tool you get for the money you should sign up.  If you’ve never used a power tool before attend this class before you do.

In this one day clinic you will learn how to use and maintain the five key woodshop machines:

  • Jointer
  • Planer
  • Chop saw
  • Table saw
  • Bandsaw

The School has a multiples of these machines in all different brands so you’ll get to test run and the appreciate the similarities and differences between them.  This is a hands on class, so come ready to roll your sleeves up and work through exercises on each machine.  We will be milling up a sample board – making it straight, square, flat and true.

We emphasize safety, control and accuracy – skills every maker should have.

This can be one of the most valuable skills you can learn this year.
