Learn How to Turn on a Lathe

Each student is assigned his or her own lathe and will not need to purchase any additional equipment or tools for the class.
Parents this class is open both girls and boys. No knowledge is required and the class is well supervised.
Supervision ratio is high and we stress safety above all else. Students may use power tools only after they have been instructed in their safe and proper use, have spent time observing instructors in their safe and proper use, and can demonstrate to their instructors their ability to use the power tools safely themselves, including the use of protective eye gear and hearing protection.
Students should plan on bringing their own lunch and a water bottle.
There is an hour break for lunch and students will only be allowed to leave the premises with written approval from a parent.
Class starts at 9am but students can arrive as early as 8:30am. Class ends at 4:00pm and students must be picked up by 4:30pm.
Students will be allowed to check their cell phones during the three breaks during the day. Parents should call the School line at 813 223 3490 during class time so as not to disturb the student while using machinery.
