Do you have a young person in your life who you think would enjoy woodworking?
At the Florida School of Woodwork, we encourage introducing younger people to the joy of craftsmanship.
Requirements:
- The Junior +1 MUST be between the ages of 13 and 17; no exceptions.
- Only ONE Junior +1 per adult is permitted.
- The additional charge will be $495 for 5-day classes and $265 for 2-day classes.
- Parent/teen combinations MUST work at the same bench.
- Parent/teen combinations MUST work on the same project.
- Junior +1s will not be allowed to run equipment without the assistance of their adult counterpart or a shop assistant.
- Junior +1s will not be allowed in every class, so please verify PRIOR TO REGISTRATION that your class is one of the approved Junior +1 classes.
- There is limited space available per class for Junior +1s. Please call the school or email [email protected] to confirm availability and to enroll your Junior +1.
- Junior +1s MUST be present at every class demonstration.
- The guardian will always be responsible for the Junior +1.
- The guardian or responsible adult must sign a liability waiver form on behalf of their Junior +1 and assume total responsibility.
NOTE: Spouses or other adults are not eligible as Junior +1s — only teens!
