Nancy R. Hiller is a professional cabinetmaker who specializes in period-style work for homes and offices from the late-19th through mid-20th centuries. After earning a certificate in traditional furniture making through England’s City & Guilds system in 1980, she worked for several shops in England and the United States. She started her business, NR Hiller Design, in 1995. Her work has been published in Fine Woodworking (she also writes a monthly post for Fine Woodworking’s Pro’s Corner blog), Fine Homebuilding, Old-House Interiors, and Popular Woodworking, among other periodicals. She is the author of four books, including Making Things Work (forthcoming from Lost Art Press) and a book about kitchens that is scheduled for publication by Lost Art Press in Summer 2020.
