Digital Marketing Intern/Assistant
Florida School of Woodwork is seeking a dynamic Digital Marketing Intern to join our team. We are passionate about our craft and our environment is relaxed and fun.
What will you do ?
Execute a wide range of marketing activities including: conferences, classes and events, social media, PR, email, marketing communication materials, videos, sales collateral, promotional materials, and electronic and print advertising intended to generate market awareness of, and stimulate demand for, our woodworking and furniture making focused classes.
This will include:
- Creating content for blog posts, Google Ads, FB & IG Ads
- Posting and problem solving on IG, FB, TikTok, Vimeo
- Studio cleaning and maintenance
- Workshop set-up – we will train you
- Assist the workshop team as needed – we will train you
It is essential that you have:
- Strong desire to learn alone and self-driven, optimistic attitude
- Solid understanding of social media
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for marketing and technology
- Knowledge of WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva, Imovie
The position is 20+ hours a week. $12p/hr.

Workshop Assistant
Assistants are essential to the success of workshops. We want to be sure the position is of maximum value to you. Our expectations are high, but the learning is invaluable.
Benefits
You will be working with professionals in various woodworking disciplines and gaining teaching experience. Compensation is $10/hour and includes overtime.
Qualifications
We really love an approachable and helpful personality. After that, we look for experience, commitment, and goals. Generally, we expect class experience at our workshop. This ensures familiarity with the workshop layout, methods, and machinery.
Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:
- Milling lumber (we will train you)
- Keeping the workshop clean and well organized
- Shop and machine maintenance
- Help with daily clean up and weekend changeovers
- Posting on IG, FB, TIKTOK and creating/editing videos for Social Media
Schedule
Is flexible but will be a minimum of 35 – 40 hrs a week.
