Summer Intern
Want to come and spend 4 – 8 weeks helping out? The role varies depending on what’s going on in the workshop. There is a small monthly stipend ($500) and an opportunity to participate in a class or two.
Qualifications
We really love an approachable and helpful personality. After that, we look for experience, commitment, and goals. Generally, we expect class experience at our workshop. This ensures familiarity with the workshop layout, methods, and machinery.
Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:
- Keeping the workshop clean and well-organized
- Shop and machine maintenance
- Help with daily clean-up and weekend changeovers
- Milling lumber (we will train you)
- Helping instructors (where appropriate)
Schedule
It is flexible but will be a minimum of 25 up to 40 hrs a week.
