Shaper and the School of Woodwork are teaming up to host a Master Class where traditional craft and modern technologies come together.

Shaper Origin is an easy-to-use, handheld CNC router providing portable precision cutting. It features an Automatic Cut Correction and an Intuitive On-Tool Design. Organized to give you the opportunity to spend time with three amazing instructors, you’ll rotate through three diverse classes and subjects. To kick things off, Shaper staff will lead an Origin Fundamentals session on Friday afternoon, where attendees can brush up on Shaper Origin skills and get a thorough walkthrough of Shaper’s ecosystem.

Lessons In Marquetry with Frank Strazza

In this part lecture, part hands-on class, award-winning furniture maker Frank Strazza will lead you through the process of creating and executing hand-cut marquetry.

Beyond Functional Joinery with Erik Curtis

Often times well-executed exposed joinery is the only embellishment a piece needs.  In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn Erik’s steps to crafting tight-fitting joinery as well as making a table leg joint using Shaper Origin and standard shop tools.
